To incentivise means there is a reward for doing something. In a work setting it could be money or another benefit like holiday.
To encourage is to give help and support to someone who is trying to achieve something. Most people here try to add encouraging words to their answers.
To prompt can be from yourself or another person.
Failing the test prompted me to work harder.
The teacher prompted her to study more.
