It’s raining and freezing cold today—like, winter-came-back-to-haunt-us kind of cold! Worse still, my belly aches the whole day. Back home, at a point, this ear-splitting noise started up in our building and just kept going. We were all startled. It turns out someone was drilling into the walls, probably fixing that sketchy elevator that’s always breaking down. I mean, the whole building could hear it, and sound travels super-duper efficiently in solids like walls right? Thankfully, they wrapped up right after dusk, or my mom would’ve lost it and called the building manager.

In the office where I work the lifts keep breaking down. Luckily, there’s no annoying noise.
Have I ever told you the oyster joke?
