It was sunny today. Since it was cold, my dad and I stayed inside, reading stories and snuggling by my little space heater. The story was an old Persian folktale with a simple moral: freedom is priceless, and you should always find a way to outsmart your enemies. Anyway, I think I'm getting a little old for stories about talking animals. I don't know why my dad still reads me stuff like that. He'll probably always treat me like a toddler, just like sometimes MeeMaw caresses my dad’s head too. Still, I really enjoy our reading time—I hope it lasts forever.

Reading together is nice.
