Professional TeacherWhen asking for permission in Spanish, we commonly use:
1️⃣ Poder + infinitive (present or conditional)
¿Puedo abrir la ventana?
¿Podría usar tu teléfono?
👉 “Podría” sounds more polite and formal.
2️⃣ Importar + si + presente
¿Te importa si abro la ventana?
¿Le importa si llego un poco más tarde?
👉 This structure is very common in polite conversations.
___ usar tu baño, por favor?
¿Importa
¿Puedo
