Vocabulary & Pronunciation:
1. To Wake Up
Tigrinya: ተንሲአ
Sound: Ten - si - 'a
Example: "Ane se'at 7:00 tensi'e." (I woke up at 7:00.)
2. To Eat Breakfast
Tigrinya: ቁርስ በሊዐ
Sound: Qur - si · be - li - 'a
Note: The 'Q' is a hard, explosive sound from the throat.
3. To Go to Work
Tigrinya: ናብ ስራሕ ከይደ
Sound: Nab · se - rah · key - de
Example: "Dihri qursi, nab serah keyde." (After breakfast, I went to work.)
4. To Return / Come Back
Tigrinya: ተመሊሰ
Sound: Te - me - li - se
