Today, I’d like to write about my hobbies. I have several hobbies, but recently I’ve been especially into reading and baking sweets.
I started reading a lot when I was in high school because my Japanese teacher often recommended books to me. Since then, I’ve gotten really into it, and now I have a growing list of books I want to read next.
As for baking, I’ve always loved eating sweets, so I thought it would be fun to try making them myself. Sometimes I fail, but when I succeed, I feel a great sense of accomplishment. Recently, I’ve been especially into these two hobbies, but there are still many other things I want to try and challenge myself with!
However, I believe the most important thing about having hobbies is not to turn them into obligations. Once something becomes an obligation, the fun you used to feel can quickly turn into stress.
That’s why I don’t force myself to do them when I don’t feel like it, and sometimes I just stop when I lose interest.
I think that’s what truly makes something a hobby.
