Pseudo- means 'fake': Astrology is a popular pseudo-science. There is no truth in it, but people like to convince themselves that there is.
Quasi- means almost or nearly: The rebel group now controls all the organs of state and have their own self-appointed prime minister. Despite the fact that they are only recognised by a handful of countries, they now function as a quasi- government in charge of a quasi- state.
