When I ask to someone, What date is it today? or What's the date today? Which expression is correct? or what is the difference between these sentences? One of my high school friend said "What date is it today?" He is a university student in the UK, but native speakers on Youtube said "What's the date today?" Hey, can you tell me these difference?

They are all correct.
I am American and I would probably say,
"What's today's date?" then "What's the date today?"
I probably wouldn't say "What date is it today?" but it is not incorrect. It just sounds like something out of a textbook.
