I think it is "Polysemy" word.. especially if you use it as a noun..
as adjective it is close to "friendly:... as noun it is close to "type" or "nature"

Kind has different meanings
As an adjective = care about other people
Example: I'm kind to my mother
As a noun = sort, type
Example:
I love all kinds of food
