Community TutorLatin American time: when schedules are flexible ⏰🌎
If you travel through Latin America, you may notice something quickly:
Time feels different.
In many countries, social plans are flexible. Arriving 15–30 minutes late to a casual gathering is often normal, not disrespectful.
There’s also a difference between formal and informal situations:
Work meetings → usually punctual
Dinner with friends → more relaxed
Context matters more than the clock.
It’s not about being careless with time. It’s about prioritising people over schedules.
