Here are some English slang abbreviations I see people asking about often. There are so many more if you guys are interested...lmk ;)
tbh - to be honest
It’s sort of the same as saying “really” or “actually”.
“I’m not hungry tbh”
Also used when we think we might be offending someone.
“It wasn’t the best meal you’ve ever made tbh”
ngl - not gonna lie
Used the same as tbh. Basically you’re saying you’re not going to lie to avoid hurting or offending someone
“ngl I liked your old hairstyle more”
idk - I don’t know
“Maybe she was hungry idk”
lmk - let me know
“Lmk if you wanna meet up later!”
wbu - what about you?
hbu - how (a)bout you?
