In this case, the first sentence is correct. In the second sentence, because the verb "charge" comes directly after the subject "I," it seems like you mean you, the "I," are doing the charging, but what I think you mean is that the "I" becomes charged, thus enabling the emotions that provide strength. So, it would be better in the second sentence to write, "where I BECOME CHARGED with emotions..."
