Hi
Today I watched Once upon a time in hollywood and I didn’t understand some sentences.
Man : I’m practically crying, and I haven’t even read it. About 15 years, you’ll be live it.
Girl : What?
Man : Nothing, pumpkin puss. I’m just teasing you.
Girl : I don’t like names like “pumpkin puss” but since you’re upset, we’ll talk about that some other time.
What does pumpkin puss mean?
Thank you.

It is a cute term of endearment. Pumpkin is a type of squash (a vegetable) and “puss” is an idiom or slang for a cat. So “pumpkin puss” doesn’t really mean anything specific. The character could have said “sweetheart” or “darling” and it means about the same thing.
