Hello,
I'm reading example sentences with the verb navigate in the sense of finding a way forward. Sometimes it's clear but other examples are confusing. This one for example: 'How is the neighborhood perceived and navigated differently by males and females?'
Does it mean that males and females perceive and deal with the neighborhood differently? Maybe, women perceive that it's dangerous, whereas men don't feel threatened in any way.
Am I right or just raving? š
Thanks folks!
Have a great day š„

Oscaaaaaaaar!
Ćl podrĆa preguntarte: So, how are you going to navigate this situation?
”Buena suerte!

āNavigating a neighborhoodā is a good but rather high brow use of ānavigateā. More typically, you might ānavigateā a situation. Your suggestion of ādeal withā is more common.
Examples
You drive. Iāll navigate. (Iāll plan the route)
Be careful when navigating your way through the rapids. Itās easy to flip your raft.
Her way of navigating a career in medicine was unorthodox to say the least.

The author is saying that males and females process information differently. There are many ways to process information. One way would be to stop and talk to people. Another way would be to read guide books and maps. Another way would be to concentrate on shopping, or entertainment possibilities.
