This weekend I met and ate lunch with my grandma. She is in a nursing home, and
it’s been three months since I have met her because coronavirus spread to her home. My parents
picked her up and I went to grandma’s house. We ate sushi and dessert for lunch.
There are a sushi restaurant and sweet shop near her house. We had some kind of
sushi, lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, red sea bream, pacific saury, prawn, red
shrimp, squid, conger eel, whelk, and horse mackerel. It was very good, and my
favorite is pacific saury because it was seasonal and delicious. Also, we ate
tempura which is seafood or vegetables that have been covered in batter and
fried in oil. The batter is made by dissolving flour and egg in water. We had
shrimp, whitefish, squid, Maitake mushroom, lotus root, and Japanese squash. My
favorite tempura is Japanese squash because it’s like a sweet potato and
delicious. Lastly, we ate dessert: cream puff and chiffon cake. Some cream
puff had sweet potato cream because it is fall.
I ate cream puff pastry
in fresh cream and custard cream. It was delicious and sweet. We had a good
time eating lunch with grandma.
