Wat is de verschil tussen de conjunctie ,,terwijl" en ,,toen" ?
If I want express "When I arrived home, I found my laptop was stolen"; should I say "Terwijl ik thuis aankwam, vond ik dat mijn laptop gestolen werd" or "Toen ik thuis aankwam, vond ik dat mijn laptop gestolen werd"?

“Terwijl” would be more accurately translated to “while”. “Toen” would be the correct word here, meaning “when”.

You could use both but Terwijl means As I came home and toen means When i came home!
So terwijl is more active i suppose
