What is the difference between expressions like "beneath" "under" "below" and "above" "over"?

There are differences. They relate to how directly or close things are. Maybe just google them as prepositions. It's difficult to give a simple explanation.

And when you use above you're talking about how high something is like you could say whales have to come up above water to get air so they can breathe

There's no difference between them because they're all synonyms for under but you can use them in sentences
