My cousin got married a few years ago. She gave birth to a baby boy last year.
After that, she has been looking after her baby and doing the vast majority of the
housework at home. Her husband just ('only' also works, but 'just' gives a bit more emotion to the fact he only works. It makes it sound a bit more frustrated, which fits the mood.) takes the responsibility of giving financial
support to the family and not much else (once again, adding this little bit of feeling takes this completely good sentence, and makes it GREAT!). He always tells my cousin that he's truly exhausted after
a whole day's work, so he needs to relax in the evenings. ('Truly exhausted' is perfect! Nice!) There's nothing much
my cousin can do to change the attitude of her husband, because she and her baby
probably won't have enough money to survive without him. Such a dilemma makes her
feel helpless and miserable.
