A current celebrity from my country could be Lionel Messi. I think he is quite famous around the world. Or at least people who love football (soccer) know him. He is a football (soccer) player. He played for many years for the Barcelona club, and recently joined the Paris Saint German club. Here, in Argentina, his most beloved club is Newell's Old Boys, where he started playing as a child. And obviously, he is a player and the captain in the Argentina team. I am really into football (soccer) so, I have seen him playing. In my opinion, he is the best playing football.

Once you have said (soccer) once, you don't need to repeat it each time :)
