Rafting on the Katun river Some years ago I was in an awesome place in the Altai mountains of Siberia. It is Kur-Kechu camp, where the Big Ilgumen river falls into the Katun river. There is the Ilgumen rapid there, which is attractive for rafting. The Russian rafting competitions are held here. I managed to take some good photos when rafters were rafting down the mountain river.
