Hello,
Is “workforce” a singular or a plural noun? I looked up the dictionary and found some sentences used “is” and some used “are” after “workforce”.

Interesting one! It can be singular or plural because it is referring to many individuals (plural) as one group (singular).
For me personally, and I think most commonly, it is used as a singular noun.
I hope this helps! Feel free to message if you have any other questions!
