Hello!
What does "neg" mean in the following article?
"Game goes even further, actually encouraging men to “neg” their “target” women—that is, to undermine their confidence subtly by ignoring or mildly insulting them. The hotter the woman, the more essential it is to neg her."

This whole "Game" notion originated from the Pick Up Art community (PUA). Pickup "artists" claim/believe that seducing a women can be achieved through a set of certain systematic "steps" or "techniques" or "stages" and that everyone can learn these techniques and apply them with success. Basically a recipe for seducing women. For me it's a form of manipulation but that's not the topic for now.
Now, "Negging" is one of these "techniques". It means making a semi-insulting (NOT offensive) compliment/remark/comment to the "target" women. The point is getting a women's attention. Since women are "used to getting flooded with positive compliments from men", when you make that semi-insulting comment, you'll "stand out" from the rest and you'll get her attention. "Negging" also targets the women's self-esteem, therefore making her an "easier target".
I can go forever on this topic but I think your question is answered.
