The legs and sides of the chair are made with a machine called a a lathe that spins the wood quickly and makes it cylinder shaped. This is called wood turning.

I think it's referring to how it's crafted - you might want to look up "woodturning". I'm no woodworking nerd though, so I'm not sure.
