What does an old soul, caught in a bit of a different world means?
It came from the farming documentary.
Henna : I think we were born in the wrong century because we love feeding cows and taking care of those sheep. (and then she laughs)
Jane: That is what I always say. I think, like you know, how when someone says they’re an ‘old soul’?
Henna: Yeah.
Jane: Caught in a bit of a different world.
I think Jane was asking Henna whether she knew about someone who said that they were and 'old soul" who caught in a bit of a different world or not right?
and does 'old soul' mean someone in the past life?
Please kindly advise.
Many thanks in advance.

I would say in this context, the term "old soul" is used to describe someone who is old fashioned and does not have a taste for modern culture. It doesn't refer to someone in a past life. It just conveys that the person is out of place in the society they're within.
