What is the difference between to carry and to bear. Are they interchangable verbs?

To carry is specifically with physical things.
To bear is both with physical things or with emotional things. Hence "Losing my dog was unbearable".

They aren’t interchangeable. Both words have many meanings.
Can you carry this bag of groceries? (Not bear)
This bears further investigation. (Not carries)
He was bearing a gun.
He was carrying a gun. (different meanings)
