To me, few things are as much of an evidence of past memories as food is. Every meal is anchored to reality and serves as proof of the distance I've gone, the feelings I've inhabited. Because I constantly long for solitude, the meals I cherish the most are the ones I had in the midst of it. A late night dinner at an empty airport, a fast food combo after work.
Eating out alone shelters me, wraps space so that it somehow feels like it finally fits me.

This sounds lovely and quite poetic! Great expression of feeling. The grammar is also great. Nice!😊
