How would you describe the photograph without using the word sepia, yet still convey its warm, nostalgic touch? Would the description of its color concern the tone or the hue more?
I can’t help but wonder if that’s how the thread to the word’s original meaning slowly fades—hidden like a gem, waiting for the next logophile to discover it.

It's an interesting question. I'm sure there will be many opinions, but I would say sepia is a kind of amber color, which is quite warm and has a nostalgic feel.
