Today I joined my online English conversation group. The topic was school and education. At the beginning, everyone talked about their summer. I shared that I am currently in China and that I did not travel during the summer. Instead, I stayed in my city and visited some parks to see the flowers. We also talked about the weather. There has been a lot of rain in China, and some provinces have experienced flooding. Because of the rain and standing water, there have also been many mosquitoes. When there is enough water, they become active and eventually hatch. Later, we talked about what we had been doing during the summer. One person had been preparing to renovate their house, while I shared a little about my current situation. I want to rest and do more exercise at a studio. Then we began our main topic: school. This made me think about my own education. When I was at school, I was especially interested in Chinese literature. I also realized that there are some things I wish I had learned more about, especially mathematics and teamwork. My school experience was not always easy when it came to building relationships with other people.
