Hi friends, Do these two sentences sound natural??
1. Ask them to be gentle because it's like they're stomping their feet when they walk on the roof. It might further damage it.
2. Ask them to be gentle because they put their foot down too hard when they walk on the roof. It might further damage it.

Well, it might sound like they're stomping, but we can't say that unless we see them deliberately stomping. Stomping is very deliberate. ...
Also, 'further' is on the wrong place. See if you can correct it by yourself and then I'll come back and reply.

Hmmm. As I said, I would rather say, 'It sounds like they're stomping. Or it sounds like they're putting their feet down really hard....". That would be natural.
