It was sunny and humid today. MeeMaw went to church early this morning for a baptism ceremony while I was still asleep. To my surprise, she brought back a bunch of popsicles when she swung by around noon. Among them was a kind she called "old popsicles." They haven't changed since MeeMaw was my age—a flavor straight from the past. Essentially, it's just a chunk of sweet ice. To me, it tastes bland, and I can't quite figure out why it's still considered a classic. But I guess people find nostalgia in many ways. Some like it hot, some like it cold, some like it in the pot nine days old.

Very good writing. Nice use of the nursery rhyme at the end. :)
