When I first heard the Irish accent, I was like "oh it sounds like a mix of British and Australian accents". Maybe I was wrong but that was my first intuitive thought. At Russian school students are mainly exposed to the standard British accent and there's little chance to hear the Irish or Cockney accent.
Russia is so big and we do have accents but the differences between them aren't prominent like in the UK.
What is your favorite accent?
