Can you explain the difference between accurate and exact?
As Spanish speaker it's almost impossible understanding it.
For example, why it is correct the sentence "I don't remember the exact date", but it's wrong " I don't remember the accurate date"?

in casual usage, accurate means close to a correct value whereas exact means that it the same as the correct value.
example of exact: 12^2 = 144
example of accurate: 12^2 ~ 150

There are exactly 5280 feet in a mile. (It’s by definition)
The estimated flight time is accurate to within 5 minutes. (Estimates would be accurate or inaccurate)
A: The sales tax is about 10%, isn’t it?
B: Yes, that’s accurate. Actually it varies by city and here it is exactly 10.1%. (The answer is correct. In this city, the law defines it to be 10.1%)
I have accurate maps on my phone. (They were made very carefully)
