Once a upon a time, there was a lazy slave who worked for a smart person.
Once, the slave didn’t wash his master’s shoes. The master asked, “Why didn’t you wash my shoes?” The slave replied, “Even after I washed your shoes, it will still get dirty when you came back.” So, the master went out with the dirty shoes. The slave rushed towards the master suddenly, he said, “Master, you forgot to leave food for us!” The master said patiently, “Even after you ate the food, you will digest it and you will feel hungry again.”
After this lesson, the slave worked harder than ever and became a diligent slave.

Good effort Joshua. I just changed a couple of things related to tenses. Apart from that, the description is great.

Once a upon a time, there was a lazy slave who worked for a smart person.
Once, the slave didn’t wash his master’s shoes. The master asked, “Why didn’t you wash my shoes?” The slave replied, “Even after I have washed your shoes, they will (nevertheless) still get dirty when you return ( or upon your return).” So, the master went out with the dirty shoes on ( or went out wearing the dirty shoes). The slave rushed towards the master suddenly, and said, “Master, you forgot to leave food for us!” The master said patiently, “Even after you have eaten the food, you will digest it and you will feel hungry again.”
After this lesson, the slave worked harder than ever and became a diligent slave.
Oh what a beautiful story Champ. Very wise....🦉 (We make use of the present perfect tense to say that an action took place at an unspecified time before now.)
