Google says the translation of “remote control” in English is “télécommande” in French.
In English, we rarely say “remote control” in its entirety. We would most likely shorten it to just “remote”, or, depending, say something like clicker, controller, thingy, etc.

What is the short cut/slang version of “télécommande” en Français?
