Which one is correct «je lui téléphone» or «je le téléphone»? Don’t get it at all

Je lui téléphone.
The verb "téléphoner" uses a preposition (à), therefore, when the object is transformed into a pronoun, it has to be an "indirect pronoun".
Je parle *à mon frère* => Je lui parle.
Je conne un conseil *à mon ami*. => Je lui donne un conseil.
Je téléphone *à ma grand-mère*. => Je lui téléphone.
"le/la/les" is a direct pronoun (no preposition).
Je regarde *le paysage*. => Je le regarde.
Je conduis *la voiture*. => Je la conduis.
Je cueille *les fleurs*. => Je les cueille.
