It’s similar to “ça va”-how’s it going?but it’s usually used for an ongoing situation:the language course you have been doing, your relationship with your difficult boss.
Ça va?how’s it going
Ça roule bien?-how’s it been?
An answer would be: the course is good but I find spelling french words difficult.
It’s okay at the moment,he’s in a good mood today.
Not bad,but.....
J’espère que ça vous aide.

Hello.
How’s it been? And How are things?
These two are often heard by English speakers. It just means that what’s going on lately? Quite similar to Ça va?
I’m also learning French so I can relate. :)
