what is the difference between “form” and “shape”? Can I choose anyone when I want to use it?
As for example in the following sentence the word shape can I change it to form? Or is the word shape necessary in this sentence because of the context? help please 😢😢😢
1. And a red mark in the shape of a sponge.

I would say that 'shape' refers more something that is two-dimensional, whilst 'form' would be used more for three-dimensional shapes.
However, I think the two could often be used interchangeably.
