Last summer vacation, I went to Fukuoka and enjoyed many kinds of delicious seafood. The fresh fish, sashimi, and grilled dishes were very special, and I felt truly happy to taste local flavors that I rarely experience in my daily life. On the first evening, I visited a small yatai near the river and tried mentaiko, fish soup, and crisp tempura while chatting with the friendly owner. I also walked around the harbor, explored the lively streets of Tenjin and Hakata, and stopped by Dazaifu Tenmangū, where the calm atmosphere and green gardens helped me slow down. Watching the sunset from Momochi beach made the city feel warm and welcoming.
During the holiday, I met my old friends from my hometown. We had not seen each other for a long time, so it was wonderful to talk, laugh, and play games together again. We exchanged stories about our universities, our part-time jobs, and our hopes for the future, which made me feel both nostalgic and motivated.
After the break, I returned to university. Seeing my classmates and joining club activities again gave me comfort and energy. I felt ready to study new subjects, set clear goals, and start the new semester with confidence.
