Could you please check my sentences? Thanks in advance. 🐰
1) Today I wanted to watch a DVD but I didn't have enough time for it. Instead of it I was listening to some classic music CDs during I do something others.
2) I washed my car. Unfortunately when I wiped it it started to rain. It was a sun shower.
3) According to a dictionary sun shower means a rain with shining sun. It is called 'fox's marriage' in Japanese.
4) Do you have some interesting phrases like that in your country? Could you tell me other English idioms?
5) I found some English books which I bought long time ago. It must be more helpful to expand my vocabulary than I've been just only writing texts everyday.

2) I washed my car. Unfortunately, when I was wiping it (background action), it started to rain (interrupting action) (use the past progressive to describe the ongoing action and the simple past to describe the interrupting action). It was a sun shower.
3) According to a dictionary, a sun shower means that it rains while the sun is shining. It is called 'fox's marriage' in Japanese.
4) Do you have any other interesting expressions like that in your country? Could you tell me other English idioms?
5) I found some English books which I bought a long time ago. It must be more helpful to expand my vocabulary than just writing texts every day.
