My choice: He said, "Is there anyone (who) you actually/really know on the inside?" His friend answered, "My wife." He, then, looked down and changed the topic/subject, "It's been a good month for the company, hasn't it?" An awkward silence ensued. Thanks in advance for having a look!!!
