I bought a table and chairs.
Is this correct? For me it sounds somehow wrong, since it feels the "a" before "table" is also linked with the "chairs".
Does there need to be a word like "some" or 'two" before "chairs", or is this okay as is.

I agree with Nichole and Ben. Adding "some" would sound more natural.

Before I noticed Ben’s response I was literally going to type the same thing haha. So I’m only posting this to say I agree with him because it sounds a lot more natural using “some” before “chairs”. Your original sentence wouldn’t sound bad necessarily, but your instinct was right. 🤗

"I bought a table and some chairs".
