When Crimea was Ukrainian, there was a festival called Kazantip. It was an international music festival with a lot of famous musicians, electronic mostly. The most interesting thing about it was it’s location - it was a little USSR-style village on a Black Sea shore. I’m not saying you couldn’t get a modern apartment there, no, but in fact, there were a lot of buildings built in a middle of the previous century with old men and women as a hosts. So the contrast between visitors of the festival and locals was huge. It was like future and past faced each other. Unfortunately, the festival is closed now.
