A reviewer is someone who is giving their opinion about a movie, a book, a song, a sporting event, a concert, or some other produced work.

There is a tradition in types of academc or journalistic writing to avoid saying "I", "Me" etc. So writers would refer to themselves in the third person using terms such as:
'The author' 'the present writer' 'the reviewer'.
So, in this case, it means "the show makes me [the person writing the review] laugh.
