My name Aleksandra, it's Greek and means a protector
But the majority of people calls me Sasha, in Sasha we have only Sa part from AlekSAndra
I've read an article about this and it happened because of that:
Aleksandr (musculutive form) became Aleksasha, after that Russian people throuh away Alek part and now the most common contraction for Aleksandra is Sasha

My name is Aleksandra but most people call me Sasha. It's Greek and (it) means a protector.
In Sasha we have only the Sa part from AlekSAndra
I've read an article about this and it happened because Aleksandr (masculine form) became Aleksasha, after that Russian people eliminated the Alek part of the name and now the most common contraction for Aleksandra is Sasha.
