How to use Elicit, Apprehend
•My question was able to elicit information from the designer.
•This book elicit good response from the reader.
•He was apprehended because of stealing the merchandise.
•The police apprehended the man responsible for breaking the law.

Statement 1 is I wanted to add more information, but I had no idea to explain.

Statements 1, 3 and 4 are all technically OK.
Statement 2 needs a couple of important changes, as follows:
This book elicits a good response from the reader.
After this, all sentences are technically acceptable. But they could all be more clear & concise.
