I read an ''article on Japanese manga and doujinshi'' in the class assignment handout today. Reading the article, I learned that the Australian community is translating doujinshis and manga into various languages, including English and Spanish, so that people around the world can read them. I also learned that there are people who are both for and against derivative works. Those who were for it supported the possibility of more creative works being created by fans. Those who were against it said that based on copyright law, it is difficult to argue about profit when selling derivative works.
