What's the difference between "I hope that" and "I looking forward"?

‘Hope’ means you want something to happen. We use ‘hope’ when we desire something but are uncertain whether it will happen. ‘Look forward to’ is only used for events that are actually going to happen. We don’t use ‘look forward to’ for things that might happen.

There is a difference in when you use these phrases. Por ejemplo, I hope you are feeling better. I hope my wife makes carne asada this weekend. I hope that next year is better. O I am looking forward to my birthday. I am looking forward to the football game on Saturday. I am looking forward to graduating from the university.
