Professional TeacherWhy not try saying this tongue twister I wrote?
Preparation:
Necessary /ˈnɛsɪs(ə)ri/ (something that must be done)
Accessory /əkˈsɛs(ə)ri/ (e.g. a necklace, a ring, a hat etc)
Remember necessary DOES NOT RHYME with Accessory, they sound different!
Tongue Twister:
Accessories are not necessary. Underwear is necessary; Jeans are necessary; shoes are necessary; jumpers are necessary. Accessories are not necessary! Jewellery is an accessory, jewellery is not necessary; A hat is an accessory, a hat is not necessary; earrings are accessories, earrings are not necessary!
Please comment and let me know how you got on! I would love to hear from you :)
