The overall sentence makes sense but it feels slightly off. I think a better wording would be: "People are looking to be efficient and productive in their lives." Another way would b: "People want to live efficient and productive lives." The main issue in the original sentence is "looking for productivity". It's more natural to say "looking to be productive".
