For example-Rafiki yangu -rafiki zangu
-Rafiki wangu - then what in prural??
Same as mkoba wangu-mikoba yetu

Yes,it should be "rafiki wangu",since the name "rafiki " in swahili is a noun ( nomino in swahili) .
Rafiki iko katika ngeli ya A-WA.
Thus "wangu" rather than "yangu",which is commonly used but wrong.

Sounds more native saying rafiki yangu. We'd only use wa for words starting with 'm' like Mkoba wangu
